The name of the gladiolus flower comes from the Italian word for sword – gladius, but a small sword – gladiolus. Different watercolor media are used in my paintings and in them the vision of flowers is intertwined with the idea of a sword, the use of the sword and the bright red color, a symbol of blood. Gladiolus for me are passionate, full of emotions, with causes and effects, with intentions and results.
