The Moche tribe formed the first great civilization of Peru and preceded the Incas and the Chimu people. Although they are known to have existed for about 1,000 years – from about 100 BC to about 900, their origins are disputed. Are the natives of South America or the tribe arriving by raft, led by a heroic figure called “Naimlpa”? Moche are quite advanced for their time people, especially in architecture and construction. Their spacious and sustainable buildings, preserved to this day, they were built of adobe bricks made of mud and dried in the sun, and it is surprising that some of these buildings are estimated to contain 100 million bricks.
